Autonomous distress tracking ELT
The Next Generation of ELT
The latest development in autonomous distress tracking from Techtest, pushes the boundaries into next level aviation safety. Fully compliant with the ICAO GADSS requirements for Autonomous Distress Tracking, using the Cospas Sarsat satellite systems to provide reliable aircraft tracking and alerting.- In-flight activation of Cospas-Sarsat 406MHz message allowing distress tracking
- Programmable in-flight distress triggers for
autonomous activation - Reserve battery compliant with FAA & EASA
special conditions - Combined ELT / GPS single port aircraft antenna
- G-Switch module for post-crash activation of 121.5 MHz
- Internal reserve 406 & 121.5 MHz antenna enabling post-crash survivability
When a pre-programmed distress trigger is detected in flight, the beacon automatically activates, transmitting on 406Mhz, including aircraft data and activation trigger. All triggers are user programmable and can be changed dependent on aircraft. With autonomy being the vital piece of the puzzle, the ELT connects directly into the avionics, and with battery support and internal inertia sensors, will continue to transmit via Cospas Sarsat in case of power failure. The ELT lithium battery is compliant with FAA and EASA special conditions.
